20 minute waits at fuel stations |
Not much to report today.
We refueled the car; tried to fix our Monit, our measuring device (unsuccessfully); and did a bit of shopping.
One thing I did notice. Both men, and especially women, use red henna dye to lighten their hair.. In many cases their hair has a reddish/orange tinge, that I think looks awful, but it seems to be fashionable in these parts.
In the late 1940s/early 1950s, I remember my mom would use henna on her hair to give it highlights. I'm hardly an expert on women's hair styling, but in the last 50 years I've never heard of women using henna. If that's not the case, I'm sure someone will set me straight.
Tomorrow is a long day. 308km to cover with a 7am start......and we are finally back on schedule.
